The Lift is an unusual short film about a boy, confronted by two girls, in a hospital elevator.

Completed in 1994. 10 minutes, colour.

It was shot in Suffolk, England in 1993 and released in July of 1994. Since then, it has been screened at the Galway Film Fleadh and the Foyle Film Festival, as well as being invited to screen at the Ipswich Film Theatre.

The film was shot over two days, in a disused section of Ipswich Hospital, and in the grain store of Glevering Hall in Hacheston. The cast and most of the crew were students at Suffolk College. It was shot on 16mm colour negative film stock.
